COLOR AND CULTURE
The Color and Culture department will explore destinations that offer opportunities to better understand and enjoy the diversity of the world’s peoples, places, and cultures.
ONE RACE BLOG
The One Race Blog department will explore the science, arts & culture, traditions and practices cross racial, ethnic, generational, cultural, religious, and geographic boundaries.
STEREOTYPES
Stereotypes department will explore and discuss the harmful effects of misperceptions, labels, stereotypes, slurs, and derogatory slang
RACIAL PREJUDICES
The Sticky Questions Department will answer questions submitted that reflect the concerns, confusion, discomfort, and misperceptions we all have about people whose race, ethnicity, cultural and religious traditions, are different from our own. Responses to submitted questions will come from sociologists, psychologists, educators, anthropologists, authors, researchers, and even other readers.
ETHNIC HISTORY
Ethnic History department will showcase the contributions of races, ethnic groups, and cultures in areas from A to Z, to complete our facts and understanding of the many historical advances as well as challenges we have experienced as a society—reaching back in time to shine a light on events and people whose role in history may be unknown, misunderstood, or misrepresented.
TEACHERS TALK
Teachers department will be a resource and gathering place for teachers to share challenges, ideas and resources using the full range of contemporary sociological, psychological, economic, political, cultural, and historical issues surrounding inter-racial, inter-ethnic, inter-cultural, and inter-religious human relationships.
YOUTH CONNECT
The Youth Connect department will be a place to “gather” and examine how to reach out to others, build relationship, inspire, and change the world, step by step, using wit, wisdom, insights, humor, puzzles, and brainteasers that entertain and enlighten.
PARENTS
The Parents' Corner is a portal for personal reflections, anecdotes, and commentary that communicate larger truths about the importance of family, values, and practices of different family units-- highlighting challenges, perceptions about what is different and shared across families.
